"If you're so scared, why don't you go into your Pokéball?"
Sulteron's voice sounded a little fed up, and though she thought the cowering Growlithe in her boat was being very, very silly. He looked at her.
~That wouldn't stop me being over water! And I hate it in there!~ He barked, whimpering like a puppy as the large motor-powered boat was rocked gently by a small wave. ~I think... I think I'll stay in the cabin, OK?~ he nodded, padding very carefully back to the indoors area of the boat.
Sulteron sighed. It almost felt like something was missing when he was gone; they were usually inseperable, two halves of a whole. Even though five other Pokémon were there with her, she didn't feel right. Swablu was circling the part of the lake around the fishing rod Sulteron had thrown in, looking into the clear water for any sign of a possible bite. Tsisi the shiny Mistreavus floated next to Kailo the Elekid, and Feyri the Spearow was practicing her flying. Mila was on Sulteron's lap, teaching her good ways of using the Super Rod she was fishing with.
~Tilt it a little to the left... little more... that's it. We'll have a fish in no time!~ he grinned, happy to let his large knowledge come to use.
Sulteron gasped; something had pulled at her Super Rod! She tugged, winding up the string. "Mila, I've got something! I-" she began, but her voice was drowned out.
~Karp, karp, karp...~ went the sixth Magikarp to have grasped the hook of her Super Rod, flopping about helplessly. She sighed, letting it go free. She cast the line further out this time, deeper into the water in hope again of catching a deep-sea Pokémon.

The Pokemon stayed in the water and watched with pleasure as the sizth Magikarp to grab the line was flung back into the ocean, she couldn't help but laugh at the fact that these fish were so stupid. the laughter burst out of her - telling each of the weak and feeble Magikarp to grab the line so that they'd evolve into a Gyrados. It was just so funny! She thought, maybe she should give this human a bit of a break - or rather put an end to the trainer's misery by giving them a battle. Though of course she would win. Shooting forward large froecful waves trailed behind her like dust as she pushed through under the water. She charged out of the water, flinging the line back to the trainer without actually getting caught in it herself and just flicking the fishing rod bakc with her powerful tail fin. As she stormed out of the water she winked at the trainer and her Pokemon in the boat - getting a good look at them all as the water dazzled her own scaly skin. She landed back in the water and waited for the trainer's next move. This Carvanha was going to be a tough one to beat.

Sulteron gasped as her line got a bite. She pulled it up, revealing to her a Carvanha. Now, she didn't perticualy like Carvahna or their movesets, and that was the same for Sharpedo, but, however, she would still battle, just for the experience rather than a new team member. She looked over at her Pokémon aiming to select a suitable opponent for Carvanha. There was Tsisi, the Mistreavus... she didn't seem strong enough yet. Kailo, an Elekid, super effective against Water types... yes, it would be Kailo she used. "Kailo, let's go! Let Carvanha have the first move!" she cried. Kailo stepped forward, growling, sparks crackling between his odd ears.

Carvanha saw the confidence in the human's eyes and could read her easily - the girl wanted a battle alongside her Elekid but she was not looking to add this water type to her team. That was good, Carvanha didn't particularly want to join a human's team - she just wanted a battle. The agreement was reached and though at a disadvantage, Carvanha was not willing to back down. She hid herself under the water and swam around the boat, getting a clear picture of the area she was in - it was best to know the environment first. Once she had memorized it, Carvanha shot straight out of the water and across teh boat in mid air - slicing through the group on the boat and staring at the Elekid as she passed giving him a leer attack and then shooting back into the water. Lowering his defense would be best first.

Sulteron smiled. Weakening the Defense, hm? Lowering stats. That must be Carvanha's technique; make the opponent be at a disadvantage, then attack. At least, that was what it seemed like. Well, two could play at the game of Defense lowering; Kailo knew Leer as well. "Kailo, let's get the stats even again and shorten this fight! Leer!" she called to the Electric type.
The Elekid snarled, cringing away from the piranha as she glared a terrifying glare at him. Lower his Defense, would she? This oughta even things out a bit. Kailo snarled again, more vicously, looking Carvanha right in the eye with a rather scary expression on his face. He had a gleam in his eyes which clearly stated 'don't mess with me', as most Pokémon tended to have when they used Leer.

Carvanha blinked in surprise when she felt her defense lower from the Elekid's glare - trying to even the stats once more was he? Well Carvanha wasn't going to be any easy feat to beat. She scowled and swam rapidly amongst the water once more -her swift shadow being scene from above. She burst out of the water, her scaly body gleaming in the shimmering reflection of the liquid adn then she bared her sharp teeth. She had jumped out of the water at the right angle so that she headed straight toward the Elekid - with her eyes locked in a scowl she crunched her teeth into the Elekid's body, managing to grasp his left arm between her teeth. Holding onto the electric type's arm she continued to dig her teeth into him with a bite attack.

Sulteron watched as Kailo's face twisted in surprise as the huge, sharp, strong teeth Carvanha were famous (sort of) for sank into his arm. He waved it about wildly, and she remembered a tactic he had done once in the wild. She opened her mouth, ready to shout out a command, but Kailo acted first.
~Ele-KID!~ he half screamed, half roared, whole body, especially his left arm, lighting up in brilliant yellow. This was a Thundershock attack, and Kailo was trying to focus it on his left arm. He hand't bothered to wait for his trainer to give the order; he already knew what to do in this case, because this was just what he did when Hinote had been using the move Bite. Mila wriggled in Sulteron's arms, making himself a little taller so he could see what was happening better. This was really exciting!

Carvanha's eyes widened as she saw the electricty gather around her mouth. She had not known that the eltrci type had such experience form a bite attack. Often eletric types couldn't use eletric types when Carvanha was close to them - obvioulsy this Elekid had not been one of them. Shye winced as the elctrcity surged through her body and mad eher muscles tense and let go of the Pokemon's arm. SHe flopped into teh water - shaking off the rough attack she had handled. If that happened again, she wouldn't be in such good shape to continue. She regained herself in the depths of the Lake Myrn water and then thought whilst she was hidden. She knew that they couldn't attack her in the water - after all it was her home and element, she was at an advantage in the water and they couldn't strike the wyaer with eletrcity otehrwise all the otehr innocent Pokemon in the depths would be hurt. Well bite was useless and the only other damaging move she knew was that...but it meant having to put up with it for a few turns. Oh well....She controlled herself and focused and searched for some anger deep within her - when she found it she shot out of the water and flew straight toward the Elekid with a full bodied Rage attack.

Sulteron was rather stunned as Carvanha went back into the water. Mila peered cautiously into the water, but could not see any shadow of her form. Kailo shrugged, becoming rather nervous. After all, sometimes not knowing is worse than knowing, like in this case. The Elekid was just preparing to call it a forfit, when the pirana flew up from the water like a little bullet. The Electric type cried out as he was bowled over, struggling to be free as Carvanha beat him over and over. Sulteron called, "Thundershock!", and Kailo tried to use the attack. It was a rather weak form of it, but it was an attack none the less.

Carvanha was now in her state of Rage, in which a Pokemon found very hard to come out from - so the confident and controlled Carvanha that Sulteron and her Elekid had been fighting was now deep inside the fish and instead was replaced by a raged and out of control one. As Carvanha wrestled with the Elekid in the boat she felt a surge of electricity pulse through her body. It hurt her enormously and now she was on her last legs....well.... it's just an expression. But despite being almost defeating and if she was in her ocntrolled state she would faint and retreat - but in her fit of rage the last amount of energy she could muster continued to be used on the Elekid. This was a fight that had already been won, but our fishy rageful friend was determined to give it every last ounce she had left.

Kailo was continuously and rapidly pounded and struck in various painful ways by Carvanha, and he was not liking it one bit. He shrieked, frustrated that his Thundershock hadn't made the fish faint, or at least back off. To be honest, he was pretty much on his 'last legs', too, only he was showing it more. He was panting, barely able to parry or dodge any of Carvanha's consistant attacks at all. The Elekid sighed. He couldn't loose, right? Sulteron wouldn't let Carvanha beat him, surely! And yet he felt so weak...
Sulteron could see Kailo was liable to going down at any moment, and she needed to do something about that, and fast. Now. That super effective move had been... super effective... and it seemed that nothing was disctracting Carvanha from attacking Kailo, so it was likely she wouldn't attempt to avoid the Thundershock. Yes, that was a good thing. "Thundershock, Kailo!" she called, watching the Elekid muster his strength together enough to get a good current going between his ears. He shot the jet of electricity at Carvanha, waiting for an outcome.

OOC:// Sorry that it's so short - the words just aren't flowing through the pen.....finger..... IC:// Carvanha felt another electrical surge through her body and she knew this was it, the trainer had already made it clear that she didn't want to add a Carvanha to her team - so before she fainted, Carvanha dunked herself back into the lake. The Elekid gained 3 levels. Would you like to continue?

ooc// Trinity's about to have it's first evolution ic// Kailo grinned as he grew to level ten; half of what he needed to evolve! He swung his leg around, practicing his new move; Low Kick. Meanwhile, Mila looked directly into Sulteron's eyes with his gleaming red ones. He took a deep breath. This was a big descision for him, and he wasn't entirely sure about it. ~Sulteron... I believe that Lucario have a better moveset than Riolu... and I also believe that you have two Heart Scales.~ he spoke, forcing himself to stay cool, calm and collected. Sulteron nodded, understanding. "You want to evolve? Woah, that's fantastic! I've never had a Pokémon evolve before!" she grinned, diving in her bag for the beautiful scale. Mila took several deep, calming breaths, eying the Heart Scale. This would make his entire body change into a different Pokémon altogether; the wise and powerful Lucario. That would be an interesting experience, and he could certainly cram much more information into his head if it was larger and more developed. Because of this, the Riolu took hold of the scale in both paws. He heard Sulteron and a few of the others gasp as he lit up with a brilliant white light, feeling his body twist and change. He sighed as he felt the light disappearing, his height now much greater. He grinned, knowing he was now a Lucario. ~Crio!~ he grinned. He opened his mouth to say more, but was interrupted by Kailo's shout. ~I got a Pokémon on the end of the line!~ he called. Sulteron quickly ran over and took hold of the Super Rod the Elekid had been playing with, hauling up the Pokémon. What would it be? Hopefully something strong, good looking, with a good moveset...

OOC://Yay! First Evolution! Marina's Eevee will soon it's just a case of deciding which one. And I'm sorry if you don't get the pokemon you want when fishing, I just randomly generate them. IC://Watching from the shallow yet hidden banks of Lake Myrn, disguised by the reeds that surrounded it was a Pokemon. She had been watching the fight with the Carvanha. Carvanha was a tough Pokemon that was highly respected in these waters - this little fish Pokemon also wanted to battle to prove her worth. But if Carvanha couldn't win, there was no chance that she would either. She disappeared into the water and swam along to get to home that was underneath the human's boat. However, when she got near the boat there was a brilliant flash of light. She poked her head out of the water and watched the small dog become a proud jackal Pokemon. Wow....so that's what evolving was like. She watched in amazement then returend to her senses and turned around, flapping her butterfly like tail fins. But something was cuaght on them. She turned to see a fishing line - she thrashed about desperately to get rid of the line but with no success. What now!

ooc// I vote Espeon. If I get enough adverts, I could get a shiny Umbreon and we could breed them ^-^. And it's cool about the randomising, I like Finneon and other stuff equals levels ic// Kailo bounced up and down excitedly as the odd fish appeared from the depths. The Elekid had never seen a Finneon before, and they were pretty. They were like... rugby balls with butterflies taped to them! The Electric type grinned at the fish, happy and proud with his catch. Sulteron, as most trainers do when they spy a foreign Pokémon, flipped open her Pokédex, pressing the button and pointing it at Finneon. It clicked, displaying a small image of her. Finneon, the wing fish Pokémon. The line running down its side can store sunlight. It shines vividly at night. The data on the screen told her she was a Water type, obviously. The Espeon 'morph smiled. Looks like this one was going to be caught! She patted her newly evolved Lucario's shoulder. "Come on, Mila. Let's go! Use Quick Attack!" she told him. The jackal Pokémon stood up tall, flexing his muscles and eyeing the opponent. A smile crossed his lips, and he licked them briefly. This new him was a little odd, and might take a battle to get used to, but he did feel stronger and better. The Lucario raced towards Finneon in the promised Quick Attack.
