Damien Wolf and his Chimchar, Inferno, had finally arrived at the Volcanic Mountain. Wiping the sweat off of his forehead, Damien said, "Whew, it's hot here. Good thing that your a Fire-type. Come on, let's keep moving." Inferno nodded and the two continued their trek up the mountain.
Looking down at Inferno, Damien said,"All right, bud. The reason why we're here is that I felt that you could use some training in extreme weather conditions. Seeing as how this is your first time, I figured we should go some place that would be beneficial to your growth. So, keep a look out for any Pokemon that might want to battle." The Shiny Chimchar nodded and the two began to look for some battle partners.

A Pokémon leapt down from high above, doing a sommersault as she came. She landed, arms out in a karate pose. ~Hi-ya! Stand and fight, cowards! Your berries or your life!~ she yelled. This was the speech of an olden days highwayman just with money rather than berries (at least it is in England) and it seemed she was one, judging by the pile of berries up where she had come from, gaurded by a Magby and two Machop. They looked like her croonies. She appeared to be... oh, a Tyrogue!
Well, she'd said it all. What would Damien do? This Tyrogue was a theif. Would Damien fight?

Damien was somewhat surprised as the Tyrogue came into view. Then she started to demand berries or his life?! Damien didn't even have any berries and even if he did he wouldn't give them up. Standing up to his full height, Damien looked down at the Tyrogue. No way would Damien lose to this thief. Looking down at his ever faithful Chimchar, Inferno, Damien nodded his head. In a second the Chimchar was in front of his trainer, settling down into his own unorthodox stance. Grinning at his Pokemon's willingness to fight, Damien decided to begin the battle. "Bring it on Tyrogue! Inferno, lets' start things off with a Double Kick!" ordered Damien. Inferno nodded and shouted at his opponent, ~Let's dance!~ On that note, Inferno charged forward, eager to begin the battle.

ooc// Urgh, museless. And not sure what Fake Out looks like.
ic// Tyrogue was struck in the chest with the double kick. She groaned, then, before she could recover, Inferno had struck again. This was repeated. The Double Kick, in all, hit Tyrogue three times. The Fighting type grinned. She was enjoying this, as most Tyrogues enjoy battling. She then growled furiously as she used a move which would make Inferno flinch if it hit and could only be used now that Inferno had only just been released into battle; Fake Out.

Inferno grinned as he felt his kicks strike the Tyrogue in the chest three times. Pushing off of the Tyrogue with the last kick, Inferno did a back flip in mid-air and landed about a meter away in his own species' unorthodox fighting stance. This stance would evolve with Inferno until he became an Infernape. As soon as he settled into his stance, Inferno stuck his left hand out and made a "come" motion with it. Then of course the Tyrogue came to attack him with Fake Out, which would make him flinch. Damien, of course, saw this and did not know any known strategy to counter Fake Out other than the moves Protect and Detect, neither of which Inferno knew. Damien could only have Inferno do one thing. Calling out to Inferno, Damien said, "Inferno, try to tough it out. Then, once the flinching passes, use Double Kick."

Tyrogue remained close to Inferno after the Fake Out hit. However, she didn't give Inferno a chance to, as Damien had put it, 'tough it out'. When she knew he had flinched, the Fighting type human like Pokémon grinned. Oh, she had him now. Well, it had been nice while it lasted. Such a short battle. Before it was Inferno's turn again, she used an Egg Move which would always strike first; Mach Punch.

Damien grimaced as Inferno flinched due to the Fake Out attack. That of course lead to a moment where all shields were down. Seeing the Tyrogue start to prepare an attack. Mach Punch to be precise. Racking his brain for possible strategies, Damien finally found one after a long second. 'It's risky, but it is the only chance we've got. I hope this works.' thought the young man. Calling out to his Pokemon, Damien said, "Inferno, do not attack. Wait until the Tyrogue gets closer, then grab its wrist with both of your hands, and use its momentum to throw it to the side." Hopefully, Inferno understood what he had to do. That was all Damien could do now, hope.

Tyrogue was sucessfully thrown aside. She snarled angrily, feeling a heavy jolt of pain as her body crumpled to the floor. However, she was quick to get back on her feet in case Inferno was to deal a surprise attack. She hadn't liked that. She'd been made a fool of, and now the dumb Chimchar would pay! Hahaha! The Fighting type charged at Inferno, using a basic Tackle attack.
