&& chapter 1 'The Room', 17:30 ' T he feared room, then,' thought the young woman, picking the cigarette from her lips with her index- and middle finger, slowly exhaling the smoke before dumping the cigarette butt in a nearby trashbin. Clearly, Joanna Togo wasn't impressed. Hands almost instinctively reaching for her pocket - or more presicely, the zippo lighter that was stuffed away in there - the soon-to-be student aimed her amber eyes at the door, an eyebrow raised as if she attempted to challenge the door into making her change her mind. Come on, door. Show why you're so special alright. B ut the door did nothing and remained closed. A sigh escaping her lips, Jon straightened the straps of her tanktop before reaching out to the doorknob, turning it and opening the door. The room now revealed was rather dimly lit. Odd. Shrugging lightly, Joanna stepped inside, pulled back the first chair she came across and sank down in it, trying hard to fight the urge to just put her legs on the table and lean back." J oanna Togo," she announced, a rather bored tone to her voice. "Where's that test I needa fill out?"[/blockquote][/blockquote]

A piece of paper that was unseen from anyones eyes sat on the dark, stone floor. The door hat had only just recently opened slammed shut with a quick wave of the hand and there was barely any light that shone in the room. No one would really be able to see anything. But suddenly the piece of paper with scribbles on it slowly lifted up into the air and hovered - a dark blue light throbbed around it and the piece of paper flew toward the girl (as if on a string) and gently placed itself into her hands. On the piece of paper were 27 questions - each aimed at the student to see what 3 Pokemon she would be able to decide from for her partner...

W ith an eyebrow raised, Joanna followed the small chain of events unfold before her eyes. She blinked briefly, confusion clouding her face as a dark blue light lit up the room, a sheet of paper floating within it. Mouthing a 'What the...?', Jon carefully took the paper, holding it as if she expected it to explode. When it didn't, the young woman began inspecting what was written, squinting her eyes to try and make out the words in the bad lighting.' So, playing twenty questions are we...' Joanna thought, a hint of a grin curving her lips. 'This should be fun...'

A sigh escaping the young woman's lips, Jon watched as her survey disappeared into the darkness, the sound of paper being crumpled reaching her ears shortly after. Well, this was going to be one pleasant stay... Or perhaps they just had no need for the sheet of paper any longer. Assuring herself that it was probably not her attitude that caused the event, Joanna shifted her weight in her seat, trying to make herself more comfortable. Despite trying to make herself look tough, the young woman wasn't looking forward to spend the rest of the afternoon inside this room...J oanna blinked her eyes as three flashes of bright red light enveloped the room for a moment, cursing herself under her breath as she rubbed her eyes, her mascara smudged lightly. She scolded herself for not having expected such a thing, but then again, she hadn't expected anything that had happened so far. As her eyes slowly got used to the darkness once again, Jon found she was now accompanied by three shapes. The first was undoubtedly the largest of the three, yellow eyes almost glowing in the dark as they glared at her. Joanna recognized the Skarmory by it's shape and stone cold glare, a hint of a grin curving her lips. Nice...T he second figure was round, and lacked any defining features. The only orb-like Pokémon Joanna could think of was either a Magnemite, for which this Pokémon was too big, or a Voltorb. Not exactly seeing the use of having a huge Pokéball as her partner, the young woman was quick to dismiss the Electric type as a possible starter Pokémon. Finally, there was the third creature, one Jon only caught a glimpse of. It seemed very happy in the darkness, from what Joanna could tell from the sounds it produced. As the creature was too big to be a Zubat, it was most likely a Gligar, the only other bat-like Pokémon she knew of.A s sad as Joanna thought it was for the Skarmory - not only was it a very awesome Pokémon, but the soon-to-be breeder would have loved to have owned one and cared for it - Gligar was probably a better choice when it came to breedablity. That, and Jon wasn't too fond of the Flying Typed Pokémon Skarmory could breed with. The young woman gave a quick nod, confirming her choice for herself, her eyes trying to locate the Gligar in the darkness." I would like the Gligar, please."[/blockquote][/blockquote]

The mysterious figure nodded with delight adn clapped his hands together, making the Room enlighten with bright light. The figure was in a purple suit and it turned out ot be the Headmaster, Mr.Rushworth - he hugged his Dragonair tightly like a little kid adn squealed with enjoyment as another student walked in, before he returned ot his respectful nature and returned the Skarmory and Voltorb. The Gligar was left and he handed the Pokeball over to the girl with a wide grin - then Dragonair calmly layed the bag of items by the girl's feet as they wished her the best of luck on her student career. O
nce the lights came on, and the person who had been sitting across the desk from her had een revealed, Joanna was but an inch away from wondering out loud if she had been tricked. As in, those crazy shows with hidden cameras so people could make fun of you afterward. The man across the desk looked like a little kid when he hugged his Dragonair, but it wasn't until Jon realized it was the Headmaster that she felt like slamming her head into the desk. Well, one great first impression she must've left on him... not.N ot blushing quite yet, but not able to bare many more embarrasment, Joanna accepted her Gilgar's Pokéball and her items in silence, gathering everything in her arms after she got up from her seat. The young woman then left the Headmaster and his Dragon-Type with a small, yet grateful nod, turning her attention to the Gligar shortly after." U hm... A-are you coming?"B riefly, the Ground and Flying type lifted it's head, curiously watching Joanna as if it sensed she was addressing it. The young breeder could tell by the look in the bat-like creature's eyes that it was up to absolutely no good; Jon was quick to leave the room, her new Gligar in hot pursuit, trying to clamp onto her head.[ Done ] [/blockquote][/blockquote]
