And... errr... non-children... Hiya ^^ I'm Firespirit :3 Umm some of you might know me from other sites, I haven't been roleplaying recently because of finals and such in school. So I kinda got really inactive everywhere I was. Yeah. So sorry if I died on any of your sites T.T I'm 14 and californian. Lemme clear that up... No, I do not live in L.A. No I'm not friends with Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, or Dakota Fanning. No I do not get the chance to check out Brad Pitt's hot bod on a daily basis. No, I do not surf (kinda. I have but I suck at it xD) No, I'm not incredibly tan with triple D sized boobs. And no, I do not have blonde hair (sorta). There you have it I'm going into highschool next year (ahh shoot me. Terrified that seniors are just gonna come and decide to beat me up). I'm sorta kinda strange xD Like people (friends) tend to interpret me as nice, loyal, caring, etc, which confuses me to no end becuase on the inside I'm like... ooooh. Violence. Fire. Boom. I don't know how to describe my strangeness... But it's there! I enjoy dem videogames :3. Like pokemon (surprise suprise!) and halo 3 (bwahahah yes I do gun down aliens in my free time, why do you ask?) Assassins Creed... etc. idk I play a lot of stuff. I overuse smiley faces. :3. Can't help it. It's like a DISEASE. I have an obsession with animal prints. Especially leopard print. Yupdedooo. I'm obsessed with the 40's (marilyn monroe = my idol) and the Victorian Era. I read. A lot. If anyone just feels like talking about anything, feel free to message me. I don't care if it's like problems at school or just getting annoyed at your Pokemon Diamond Game. I like hearing stuff and am (apparently) good at listening to people xD. Wow. I'm really terrible at introductions.

I'd say that's a good introduction. It seems that everyone writes an introduction and then either says they can't do them or isn't very good at them, despite writing it all beforehand. I don't think you can judge an intro or say you can't because everyone does it every day. But oh well.
Anyway, welcome firespirit. I'm Angel - most people tend to call me that since it's my username. But you can call me Mel if you want. I hope you have a great time here. And I'm the same age as you! XD Plus I know what you mean by people judging a book by its cover or stereotyping. For example I'm English (as are a few otehr on here). And people tend to think of British people as: snobs, posh, like drinking tea/eating muffins, proper, speak with long and confusing words and hail from aristocracy.
I may like drinking tea but the rest.....Not so much. I'm no snob, I am in no way posh, I do not think highly of myself, I don't speak in long and confusing sentences such as:" Many of the world's population have thus decided upon themselves to expect us true British citizens to hail from royalty and communicate in excessive, long winded sentences. " No. I don't do that. I also hate muffins and as far back as I remember I haven't had the slightest bit of important blood in me. Oh and everything else all English people have been judged to do is to have met the Queen. I haven't. I doubt most of our population have. i mean have any of you met your country's leader. Anyway, i hate prejudice.....XD

Ah! Yeah! That's exactly it. Or just like school stereotyping; I'm friends with a large variety of people and like I have one who's kind of considered a slut except she's not, she's actually really sweet but everyone assumes she's this huge jerk and all. And when my other friends who don't actually know her start talking about her. Grr. It makes me so frustrated!
And this is kinda random but I just came back from a vacation in Europe, haha, the first place we went was London! It was actually one of my favorite places we went xD. Apart from the neighborhood where we stayed in (I think it was West Kengsington or something) which was kind of a bad neighborhood... (the second after we arrived I looked down this street and whaddya know. Drug purchase going on. Lovely first impression of Europe xD) I loved it! Haha but I haven't been anywhere else in England, just a tourist in London :]... but yeah London was cool.
Oh, and my soccer coach is English too and he's pretty much the opposite of all the English stereotypes. xD so yeah. haha.

Baha! Hello all. I will create my own introductory thread in a few moments. I'm sorry if it says I'm online forever and I don't post anywhere. I can access this roleplay site (unlike most others) from work! Which is where I am now. I'll provide more info on that in my own thread. In the meantime, it's good to meet you firespirit!
I will say that I am ... old! D: I'm twenty and haven't been in high school for going on three years. However, I would like to say that I went to a high school that was over-crowded and squished grades seven through twelve inside of it. When I started in grade seven, I too was afraid of the seniors. When I finished as a senior, I hated strongly disliked the 'rats' (our term for the grade seven, eight and nines). The hallways were squished and smelly.
Anyway! As for stereotypes ... I ish Canadian. xD Bring on the beaver tails and seven month long winters! Beaver tails are a donut-like desert covered in sugar, there is no meat involved. Anyhow, all the stereotypes I can think of about Canadians are probably true ... my favorite being from an episode of Family Guy if you guys are able to watch that: There is a movie playing at a Canadian Film Festival and the guy on screen says, 'I don't want to hurt you ... and I won't!' And then the credits roll. I say that with a lot of generality as its not as if crime is abolished, but I mean ... beer / liqueur, hockey and maple syrup rock ... and fyi our national sport as per any fact chart or historical reference is actually lacrosse.
Furthering my two cents in your thread I will add that my father is Irish and I've been to Ireland eight times, and been to London, England once ... but that the smog and the underground really got to my sinuses. I have family in both countries and some in Wales ... as well as Australia, Brazil, the USA and India. My mother is native Canadian / American and French-Canadian with mixed ancestry on both sides; and between both parents that also links me to Spain, Italy, France, Canada (I guess I should mention), Germany and Scotland. Canadian melting pot stereotypes are true.
My husband is American, with Irish, Greek, Native, Spanish and Mexican blood.
x3 I'll drag my weird to my own thread now. I probably should start my character rather than vent so much, but ... I'll get to that.
Oh! And I wanted to ask if you got your thread title from Fall Out 3, and if so - woot! ;P

Haha. Oh, family guy. I can't think of a single race they haven't made fun of on that show. But family guy really just makes fun of everyone it can. And I do still love it xDDD. I was actually just watching family guy this morning becuase I woke up at 4 AM because I'm still on European time! Woo!
Ah! I have stereotyped canada, but not on purpose.... I spent the first twelve years of my life believing Canada was either constantly in winter or fall, that everyone lived in log houses in the forest and that there were just like hella mooses (meese?) walking around T.T. Gah. Then I befriended this girl from Canada at camp and she quickly set me straight lmao.
And no, I didn't get my title from Fallout 3... I just tend to refer to people (sometimes older than me...) as Children. I don't know why. I guess I'm just strange. I do want Fallout 3 though!!! A friend of mine bought it and will not shut up about how amazing it is. T.T.

The plural of moose is moose ... like one sheep, two sheep! ;3 It's my mommy's dream to see a moose in the wild. I've heard that before though, that people think there are plenty of moose when they're really ... either endangered or "at risk" I forget ... but there aren't many of them. I've only seen them in zoos.
Winter is hella long though, can't blame you for thinking that. Summer is really hot here though too, at least in southern Canada where I am, even my Floridian - technically Texan - husband says so! And we run our A/C.
He's the one who really loved Fall Out 3 though ... It never captured me though I have played it ... I'm more into RPGs than first person shooter - though they did do a great good job on combining the two genres.
And yes, Family Guy is awesome ... and I was up until 2 AM because ... o.o ... *shrug*
My late night show is usually MYTHBUSTERS. Them science geeks amuse and enlighten me. xD

Ahh that makes sense. English grammar is so confusing. Like... goose and geese but not moose and meese T.T. And then one lice is louse. That's like a whole different word. But don't let me get started on spanish grammar... every word has a feminine version and a masculine version. El Zorro (the male fox) La Zorra (the female fox). And then it has all this other stuff that just makes it annoying. Boo. This is why I almost got a C in Spanish 3 last year.
Haha. Hot summers... fun for swimming, annoying for everything else. I was surprised the international game was lacrosse! Everyone seems to thing Canada.... ICE HOCKEY! There's a girl on my soccer team from Canada and she plays ice hockey xD.

xD I think it's so cute when people call it ice hockey. We just call it hockey and then compare it to field hockey or street hockey (which is not an organized sport ... it's just what it gets called when people play it in the street (whether on or off roller blades)).
English grammar is confusing ... but yes, when compared to certain other languages, it isn't so bad. I don't speak Spanish ... or read it for that matter, but my second language is French, and its the same concept (in reference to male and female words). I've been told that people who speak French should be able to decipher what is being said in Spanish conversations as the languages are so similar ... but I can't. I can however sometimes interpret written messages as I have more time and the spelling of words even when pronounced differently can be similar.
EDIT:: By the by, I just noticed that I kind of stole your introductory thread title ... I didn't mean to! ._. I wasn't thinking and didn't realize.

Haha it's fine xD Don't worry, I won't hunt you down/stab you for having a similar title . And I know what you mean about spanish and french!!! I was recently in Paris and there was a lot of stuff I could interpret because it was similar to spanish; but if I tried to read a book in french... it wouldnt work.

Woot! **is safe from stabbing** ' Exactly ... but I even have trouble with French novels, even those written for a preteen. There always seems to be words that I haven't learned in them ...

I tried reading that in spanish and had to stop they use words they don't teach us in school...... >.> hahaha. How do you know french?

I live in Canada West of the Praries - everyone speaks French! xD No, I'm joshing ya, but the province of Quebec is mostly all French, and everyone in its vicinty can at least understand it, if not speak it. Plus, my mother's French Canadian, and I even have relatives who only speak french. My mother even went to a French school, but her mother doesn't speak a word of it. I've been learning French since I was born, and went to a French-immersion school as well. My least favorite translated book was Jaws, but I never did try something so modern as Wicked.
