Children were evil. Not 'Haha I made you feel bad but I only told the truth' evil, but 'I am a horrible demon who wil eat your soul and rip out your entrails' evil.
Pure unrated EVIL.
How did Amoretta know this? Because they had put her in a very bad situation.
It had started at around Four. Her Zubat, Bass, had made a nest in her hair and was sleeping. Her Magby, Teacup, was running around the school halls defacing property with some stickers. Amoretts, not wanting to be in trouble for this, was chaseing Teacup to catch the little devil.
At some point, after many changes of scenery, they had ended up just outside of the school grounds in a small feild where some children were playing baseball nearby. When Amoretta finally managed to call Teacup back to its ball, a sharp and sudden pain made itself known on her head. A cloud of stars filled her eyes, and then went dark.
Before she completely blacked out, voices filled her ears.
"Oh My Lawd!! Did we hit that girl?!"
"I think she's dead..."
"Only one place to take her if she's dead. Hehehe..."
And now here she was. Head busting, vision spinning, and an the front steps of some strange mansion she had never seen in her life. Only the Goddess knew how far from school those vagrants had taken her!
She couldn't think about that now though. The sun was setting and she had always been taught not to stay out after dark. Even though it was earrie looking, Amoretta pulled herself up and slowly opened the door.
She managed to stagger inside and shut the door behind her, but imediatly fell to her knees afterward.
Still can't see strait..
As Amoretta tried to regain her senses, Bass flicked up her wings and flew up and out of her 'nest'. It sent out a few of its echos to "see" where they were at.
~A-Amoretta, wh-why are we h-here?~ Bass knew her Trainer couldn't understand PokeSpeak, but if tried hard enough she might get her point across.
Amoretta moaned and tried to stand again. Her legs gave out and she fell again.
"I don't know....I HATE all children under ten now." She muttered.

As the girl fell over she landed on something soft and squishy. It muttered something in a slow and monotone voice as the human fell on it. This Pokemon wasn't supposed to be here either. He had finally left the Haunted Mansion and made his way to Lake Myrn where water type Pokemon thrived and he could spend his days relaxing. But as soon as he reached the Lake, a couple of children had picked him up and thrown him back here, soon followed by a heavy human being. But why was he complaining? Bad luck always found him and he couldn't run from it. He would just have to deal with it but he really wasn't in the mood. He'd problably fight this girl adn whatever she ahd to throw at him because h needed to rele3ase some anger - even if it didn't show. He muttered a long adn dragged out sentence, " Oooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww" Though any normal person would hear it as, " Sloooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwpooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkke."

Amoretta was shocked when she fell. Did she land on... a pillow? And did it just moan, or was that her imagination?
She wasn't sure, but whatever it was was soft, fluffy, and squishy like a pillow. Plus, even with her spinning sight, she could tell it was very pink.
With much effort, the lilac haired girl managed to get into a sitting position. She pulled off her glasses, knowing that it would help her regain her vision faster if she did.
She tried to take a look around from her seat, but couldn't make much out. It was dark, and it was dusty ("Ah-Ah-AHBLOO!!"), and... it was dark. Very, very dark.
"And it will only get darker..." Amoretta muttered.
She glanced back down at the pink pillow?. She ran her hand over it, and finding it sort of comforting, pulled the pillow? onto her lap. It was surprisingly heavy, but she hugged it and petted it, liking how it almost seemed alive.
Bass had perched nearby and "watched" this whole scene. She was worried about Amoretta, but didn't know what she could do. If she tried to warn her trainer, it might upset the Slowpoke into attacking. If she tried to drive the Slowpoke off, Amoretta might be hurt in the cross fire.
And she afraid of the Slowpoke. Lets not forget that.
Maybe talking to it will help? Bass thought. Deciding this was the best course to take, she tried to explain the best she could.
~Sl-Slowpoke? Wi-Will you not h-hurt my trainer? I d-don't th-think she c-can see you r-right now. She doesn't m-mean y-you an-any harm...~

Slowpoke enjoyed teh girl's gentle strokes across his back - maybe she was sorry after aflling on her. This felt nice, he heard a voice and looked over to where it was coming from. There was a Zubat hidden somwhere and it had said not to hurt the trainer. Why would he do that? He was quite peaceful, he needn't hurt anybody. Unless it was a battle they were looking for of course? Slowpoke murmered toward the Zubat he could see, "I wouldn't doooooooo that. I was just in the wroooooooong place at the wrooooooong time really...." He wriggled out of the girl's arms and smacked onto the hard floor he stared at the trainer, hoping to give the impression he was erady for a battle - but which was very hard to decipher. He said, "I wooooouldn't mind a battle thoooooooough......"

Amoretta jumped when her pillow? lept out of her arms. Had it been... A wild Pokemon?! She squeaked at Bass to come and "rescue her from the evil wild Pokemon".
Bass, not sure quite what to do, did the onlt thing she could think to do on such short notice: Flew to block the Slowpoke from her trainer and then let loose a Supersonic attack.

Slowpoke didn't hvae much time to react by the sudde attack from the Zubat and as several rings of supersonic energy camae toward him he did nothing. They hit him and encircled him - making Slowpoke become confused. Slowpoke didn't feel any change though and when he went to attack with a Tackle his legs didn't move to do so - instead a big puff of cloud came out of his mouth and drifted toward the Zubat. Slowpoke had wanted to use Tackle but he got himself confused and ended up using Yawn instead.

The cloud was to light to be picked up by Bass's hearing. It hit her with a PLOOF. Her flying wobbled a bit as she felt herself grow tired.
On the other end of this, Amoretta had just managed to get her sight back and put her glasses back on.
So.... my pillow was a Slowpoke? And now I'm in a battle with it?
She blinked and looked at the Slowpoke and Bass more closely. The Slowpoke seemed confused, and Bass was tired. She tilted her head in thought. Wht would happen when Bass whent to sleep? She still had Teacup, but even with her limmited knowlege of Pokemon she knew that Fire was weak against Water.
"Use... Leech Life?" She said to Bass. She may as well do what she could while can...

Now Slowpoke weren't well known for their fast reaction times, there was kind of a hint in their name - after all humans had taken the name Slowpoke in vain and laughed at others if they were slow in a race or lost. Slowpoke didn't really care but it meant that the tiny stinger that the Zubat had flung toward him injected into his body, Slowpoke looked at the straneg object with concern. He muttered an, "Ooooooow" and then felt the energy get sapped from his body and enetring the Zubat's. Being a Psychic and Water type, Bug type moves had double their power and Slowpoke wiggled as his health drained. He lifted a white and pink paw and then hit the stinger away after it had done it's affect. Staring at the Zubat who was supposed to be asleep by noe due to the previous Yawn attack, Slowpoke attempted to growl ferociously. But being a Slowpoke it wasn't all that intimidating, however it should manage to weaken the Zubat's attack power.

Bass's flying became more and more unsteady as sleep threatened to overtake her. Even though it was against her Trainer's consent, she attempted one more Leech Life before she fell to the ground.
Amoretta watched this scene, slightly stunned. Pokemon battles were... hard.
She looked at Bass and quickly called her back into her ball. She needed to keep Bass from harm, and she knew that leaving her out would get her hurt. She may have been putting herself at risk, but it would be worth it.

Slowpoke watched as the Zubat was drawn back into her Pokeball and he suddenly became dazed - he had lost some energy and was quite tired now so as the trainer faced him bravely he waved a paw and sleepily murmered, "Don't worry - I won't fight you if you don't want me to. You can do what you like with me as I am in no mood to complain, I need to make my way back to Lake Myrn...." The Slowpoke thought for a moment and sighed, " ....Again.... " So the Slowpoke, well....slowly, trodged back to Lake Myrn but despite his hard effort didn't seem to be getting very far....

Amoretta watched as the Slowpoke was now.... slowly..... plodding..... away.
She blinked and pulled out a Pokeball. She was almost defenceless, it was dark, and the Slowpoke was soft and fluffy. Plus it had also been weakened somewhat and odviously didn't belong here, so what would it hurt? If it escaped, it escaped. If it didn't, new Pokemon for her.
Knowing that with her poor aim, throwing was not an option (only the Goddess knew what she would make mad if she threw and missed) she stood and made her way over to the Slowpoke.
When she was right behind it, she leaned down and tapped the ball against it's head. When it was sucked in by the red light, she backed up and waited.

The Pokeball wriggled from one to side to the next in a devastatingly eager sing...right....left.....right.....left......it would be unbearable to watch. As the seal glew form red to white it was a moment that any trainer anticipated. The Pokeball finally stopped and a soft PING was heard. Indicating that the Pokemon had been caught. Slowpoke erupted from the Pokeball and looked bedazzled at whjat had just happened - what had happened? One minute he was trodging and the next he was turned round. He looked around and saw a small red and white ball by his side - and then it hit him. He had been captured and by the side of the Pokeball was the girl who thought he was a pillow. Holding out a paw he said slowly, "Thank you.....Now that I'm with you I can get places a lot quicker......" He smiled....welll it was supposed to be a smile at least, but his mouth just seemed to screw up as he gave the trainer his stats.

He understands that he is slow and doens't grasp concepts quickly but he's loveable all the same. Being a little dimwitted never hurt anybody anyway. Unfortunately this Slowpoke also has bad luck. Whenever he is determined to do something he sets his heart on doing it - but something always intervenes. {name} always looks on the bright side of life and is never down heartened but sometimes he can't help but feel a little peeved at his current state.

Smiling, Amoretta picked up the new member of her team.
"I shall dub thee... Pillow." She said as she hugged him. She thought it the only appropriate name.
While still cartying him, she decided to explore this abandoned house. What more could she do? She was stuck here until morning.
It was dark so she couldn't see much, but a pair of double doors just overhead seemed the most promising. She quickly scaled some nearby stairs and proceeded to the doors.
A small bit of light was peaking out from a few cracks, but when she pulled them open the room was as dark as the rest of the house.
The room was big and bare, most likely a ball room when the house was in it's prime. She walked in slowly and in awe at the rooms size.
When she reached the center of the ball room she held Pillow as if he was her parter and danced with him. She hummed a tune and waltzed in circles.
Even though he wasn't used to Amoretta yet, Pillow was enjoying his new trainers attention. He couldn't grasp what had suddenly made her so happy, though.

Peeking at the girl who had emerged into the usually left alone Haunted Mansion was a Pokemon. He hung from the chandelier in the centre and watched shyly at the human - she seemed to be having lots of fun dancing with her Slowpoke. He wanted to join her but he kept to his highly placed perch. Then he took a closer look at the Slowpoke - that was the Slowpoke that was infamous around the mansion for he was always trying to get to Lake Myrn but always failed and ended back here. The Pokemon giggled as he watched the pair and then he pushed himself off of the high light and did a very neat flip onto the ground - landing beside them. He laughed as he bounced up and down, enjoying himself and having fun. He wasn't really aware of the fact that he had just made himself noticeable to the human as his emotions were over ruling his brain. Cute, little naive Spoink....

Amoretta jumped and made a squeaking sound when a small, springy, purrple.... pig-thing fell from the cealing. She gripped Pillow tightly and held him up in front of her face.
What sounded like the pig-things laughter caused her to chance a peak at it. To her, it seemed like it was enjoying itself. In a split seacond decision, she decided to try and be friendly instead of freaking out; Her Party was to weak to battle right now.
"H-Hello, there. You seem to be having fun. Can I be your friend? I think we could get along great." Her voice shook when she started talking, but slowly gained more confidence.
