Furumi and Fairo began to shiver as they approached the iced cap of one of the smaller mountains of the mountain range. They were, of course, above the coulds. They were grinning with the excirse, although they had taken the path most of the way.
~You don't say much, do you?~ Fairo stated, having been giving a one-way conversation to his trainer. Furumi smiled, shaking his head. Fairo cocked his head to one side. ~Come on, say something!~
Furumi raised an eyebrow. "... no." he smiled. Fairo rolled his eyes, then shivered. ~Urgh, it's so cold!~ he complained. He was a Fire type, after all.
Furumi nodded. "My tail keeps me warm. Your Ember attack would do the same for you," he suggessted. Fairo's eyes widened; that was the most he had heard Furumi say at one time. The mutant grinned. The Houndour took his advice, and breathed a cloud of flames into the path, then stepped into them, walking with the flame-cloud and occasionally adding to it when it flickered out. They continued their search for Dragon or Ice types.

As the strange human like creature and Houdnour spoke to one another there were several Pokemon watching them make their way through Snowy Peaks. Their eyes glowed as they studied their pair - but they all remained in the shadows; scared of what this strange creature may be....Meanwhile there was a young child like Pokemon that was among them. He hadn't been paying attention to what was going on and was concentrating on himself. As he wiggled along the snowy path he closed his eyes happily, smiling as eh waddled on further - singing to himself, "~Snowy Peaks ~ Snowy Peaks ~ How I love my Snowy Peaks ~ With the ice and the snow~ And the Hum Diddy ~ Hum Diddy~ Hum Diddy Ho!~" Other Pokemon often left him be and they payed no heed to him now either. As he wiggled he tripped over a rock that jutted itself out of the white blanket and he began to roll down the hill, tumbling along as he went he eventually rolled in sigh of the trainer. Ignoring the trainer he continued to roll around in his own little circle of a world. Anyone that saw him would think the poor thing was mentally unstable - but he just lived life happily and did what he wnated to do. The silly little Spheal.

Furumi grinned as he heard the Spheal's cheery song. Fairo cocked his head, wondering whether he was quite all right. Furumi pointed at Spheal as he came into view, and Fairo nodded, fur bristling as he rolled his muscles and bared his teeth in a fighting pose. Furumi shook his head. "No fighting unless Spheal wants it. Maybe we'll befriend him." he insisted, putting a hand on the Houndour's back. He gave a final growl, before falling silent and returning to normal.
Furumi got on his hands and knees to make him seem smaller and less intimidating, then crawled slowly towards Spheal. Fairo padded along next to him. The duo reached Spheal, but didn't get too close in case they scared or startled him.
Fairo cleared his throat. ~Hello, little Spheal. I'm Fairo, and this is my trainer, Furumi. Um... is there... anything we can... do for you?~ he asked, unsure of what to say.

Spheal stopped singing and playing around when the Hundour came up to him. Why did this Pokemon have such dark colouring? Spheal had never seen a Pokemon like this around Snowy Peaks before so why now? And then the strange creature that was next to this out of place Pokemon. WHat was it? It didn't look human but it didn't look like a Pokemon either. Maybe it was a bundle of all of them....Spheal smiled up at the pair, with a silly grin across his round face. He rolled around in a circle, circling the trainer and his Pokemon. Happiyl singing, "Fun, fun, fun. Spheal wants to have fun!" Spheal began to spit water into the air as he rolled around Furumi and Fairo. Happy that he had some attention on him. He giggled uncontrolably as he rolled around in the snow. He then nudged the Houndour's leg and smiled. He then kept rolling and eventualy rolled off a cliff. He smiled though he when he jumped he thought it was a rollercoaster. But he was unoblivious that he was rolling off of the tip of Snowy Peaks.

Furumi actually smiled as he watched Spheal roll about. Aw, the little guy was pretty cute. He watched the round Pokémon as he made his way around, then held his hands above his head in mock defeat as the water cascaded down on his head. Fairo, happy up 'til then, grumbled and whined, jumping back. ~Watchit, I'm a Fire type! I don't like water!~ he complained.
Furumi's eyes widened as Spheal began to become more out of control, smiling. Furumi was no longer smiling as the seal didn't return. He peered over the edge. A sheer drop with a few ledges and things to break Spheal's fall or his spine, along with the ball Pokémon himself. Without a word, Furumi grabbed a struggling Fairo tightly under one arm, prepared to grab Spheal in the other, took a deep breath and threw himself off the edge of Snowy Peaks.
Fairo's howling scream was cut short as Furumi's ten foot wide, black wings spread out, gold feather tips gleaming dulling in reflections from the snow. He barely allowed his wings to make any resistance at all, and plummeted downward. Within seconds he had grabbed hold of Spheal, but the sudden extra weight threw him off balance, sending him crashing into a rock and tumbling down. There was a ledge nearby, but maybe a cave or something in an indent ahead...

Spheal was happily fallin down when all of a sudden he was grabbed by a creature with black wings - Spheal looked round to see the boy's face that was struggling to keep his grip and fly at the same time and then screaming Houndour in his other arm. Seeing as they were fallin from quite a height and weren't doing too well it looked liked they were going to die - Spheal didn't quite think the idea of dying was fun and besides what would he do afterward? Nope, detah could come later. As they were about to collide with a rock head first, Spheal saw a nearby ledge that they could happily land on if there was enough wind pressure and a nice soft landing. Smiling and happily laughing Spheal took a deep breath and blew out a Powder Snow attack. It pressure from the powerful snowy wind was enough to push them away from teh sharp and jagged rock and provided a soft snowy landing when they hit the cave like ledge. Spheal rolled inside laughing adn when he reached the slightly warmer and lot less snowier interior of the cave he shook to get all of the snow off of him. He turned around and smiled at the boy and the Houndour, "If you come in here you should be safe with Spheal." He smiled, welcoming the trainer and Pokemon into the cave which could belong to anyone but Spheal seemed ot have clauimed it as his own for the time being.

Furumi gasped as he and Fairo landed safely in the cave-ledge thing. He tucking in his wings, rolling his dully aching shoulders. He walked inside the cave with Spheal, Fairo shivering beside him. "Thanks, Spheal. Well done." he congratulated the ball seal Pokémon, looking about him at his new surroundings. His search was stopped by a whining howl from Fairo, who pointed his chattering muzzle in the direction of the entrance. Great winds were now blowing, shards of ice and sleet and snow carried on them as a blizzard began.
Furumi frowned. They couldn't risk flying through a blizzard, and Fairo looked freezing. "Fairo, use Ember as before." he murmered softly, and the dog breathed a cloud of flames around himself again, barking gleefully at the warmth. Furumi looked to Spheal. "Feel like exploring?" he asked the brave excitable Pokémon, heading into the cave. Fairo followed him; it offered shelter from the snow and ice, at least, and he had his fire cloud.

As Spheal, Furumi and Fairo walked deeper into the cave, Spheal began to hum to himself happily. It got darker as they went in but thanks to Fairo's ember the cave was lit up with the red flames. There was no sign of human intervention within the cave but there were a few torches on the side that could easily be caught alight by a fire attack. As Spheal's humming echoed throughout the cave, it awakened a few angry Pokemon. The Pokemon screeched and flew toward the three that had dared to enter their cave. They started to flap uncontrolably and hover around Spheal who had disturbed their slumber. The little Pokemon rolled into a protective sphere and used his Defense Curl attakc to roll away. When the Pokemon flapped in front of them it was time to have some fun, Spheal happily smiled up to Furumi and Fairo adn said enthusiastically, " Spheal wants to battle, does human and fire type want to battle?" Spheal waited for an answer - if they accpepted then the Spheal and Houndour would take on the two Zubat in a double battle.

Furumi tried to make out the Pokémon as they flew at them. Maybe it was a Dragon type! Then; no, they had stopped whizzing about with high-pitched screeches. Even though this was the case, Fairo's ears kept tuning in to a sound. That must be their echolocation, where their screeches, too high for any human to here, bounced off solid objects and told these eyeless creatures where things were. These Zubat must be doing it right now, to know he, Fairo and Spheal were there. He imagined what a shock they would have when they evolved into Golbat, with eyes.
"We'll battle." Furumi nodded, as usual keeping speech brief. He turned to look at the Zubat. "Ember." he said calmly. For now, he would work at finding Zubat's weaknesses. Fairo's muzzle opened as he projected a billowing little flame out towards the nearest Zubat.

The ember attack knocked one of the Zubat backwards as he didn't hear it coming - but he did feel the flames engulf his body as he was thrown into a cave wall by the red ember attack. The Zubat then regained himself and shot toward the Houndour that had just attacked him sending a Supersonic attack toward it.
Meanwhile Spheal was rustling with the female Zubat. As the Zubat had flown toward him, Spheal shot out a turrent of water. SUing his watyer gun attack he managed to push the Zubat away and make it completely soaked - happy that his battle alongside the Houndour was going well. As Spheal jumped up and down (or wiggled since he couldn't jump) on the spot the angry female Zubat eyed the round ice and water type. She knew it was time for her egg move and she dragged her wings back and then flapped them forward sending a gust toward the Spheal.
With Fairo having a Supersoince sent his way and Spheal a gust - what would happen to them?

Furumi allowed himself a rare smile as he saw Fairo's Ember land sucessfully. Not only had they dealt damage, but it seemd that they had also discovered Zubat's weakness; their echolocation wouldn't bounce of fire, for fire is a gas and sound can travel easily throught a gas. Plus, if it were something like the Gust the other Zubat was preparing, the Zubat would hear the raging winds whistling in his ear. But then came a Supersonic attack... this could be bad. Very bad indeed. Furumi swallowed as he thought fast. Perhaps if Zubat could not tell where Fairo was. "Fairo, use Howl, then run quickly and use it again!" he cried, deliberately too low for the high-note tuning of a Zubat's ears, but so Fairo would hear.
Fairo growled, the leapt over to another side of Zubat while coated in an Ember cloud like earlier. He let loose a Howl, then leapt again. Each Howl did not boost his attack as much as a proper Howl would, but when the turn was finished they would add up to it.

Spheal laughed happily as the Houndour howled and jumped aournd - confusing both of the Zubat on what to do next. Spheal, though he also liked watching the Houndour, decied to seize the opportunity whilst the Zubat were distracted - he took a deep breath and his round little body blew up like a ballon. When he released his breath a large wind of snow emerged and headed straight toward both of the Zubat.
The Zubat, being distracted by the continuous moving of the fire type didn't realise that the Spheal had attacked - they both got caught by the Powder Snow attack and as it was an ice type move were hit pretty bad. This didn't look too good for the pair of Zubat - being brother and sister had always worked in their favour but these two Pokemon and the human seemed to have some sort of connection. This looked bad for both of them. The sister (who was the smart one) knew that with the Spheal's super effective ice attack and the Houndour's now high attack, they were both in trouble. She drew her wings back in a desperate attempt and sent another gust - this time toward the Houndour - hoping it would blow out the flames surroudning it and distract it as it would be cold. The brother Zubat sent several pin like attacks that hit the Spheal and would hopefully restore some of is health because this was a leech life attack.

Furumi watched the Leech Life attack, gritting his teeth; this would restore Zubat's health, a risk he wouldn't want to take. As a trainer, he felt he should help to protect Pokémon in need. Therefore, he should help Spheal avoid being hurt by this attack, and having Zubat's health return. He was aware of the Gust heading towards Fairo, but he supposed it wouldn't do too much damage, Fairo could always stand a little chill and could easily get back at the Zubat in the same turn. "Use Ember on the Leech Life, then turn on the female." he spoke calmly.
The Houndour barked in response, watching the Gust warily out of the corner of his eye while he took aim. Spraying the Leech Life attack in a flurry of flames, he disintergrated the attack before it could reach Spheal, thus shortening the length of the battle by preventing Zubat from healing at this point. He winced as he felt the sudden chill wash over him, feeling the whipping winds strike his body as the Gust attack came. Not too injured, but shivering with cold, the Fire type dog turned to his opponent, showing her the build up of flames inside his maw as he released the next Ember attack.

Spheal froze and turne dhis face away, preparing himself for the impact of the leech life - but he felt no pain. Opening his eyes slowly he saw the attack burnt to a crisp, and smiled, turning to the Houndour for the thanks. However, Fairo had been blown away and hurt by the gust attack. Spheal was in shock and was worrying about the Houndour who had been hit because h had been saving Spheal. As Fairo shot an ember attack at the female Zubat it hit the Pokemon. She flapped her wings to get rid of the flames that had engulfed her and evily glared at the fire type. Meanwhile the brother Zubat was cowering behind his sister - afraid that his attack had been so easily tossed aside. Spheal jumped in front of Fairo and glared at the Zubat rather bravely. He shouted at them in a cute tone (thought it was meant to b serious), "Don't hurt Spheal's friends!" And taking in a deep breath he shot another Powder Snow attack toward the bat Pokemon.
The sister grabbed her brother and before they were hit they flew deeper into the cave, running away from the battle. Spheal opened his eyes and saw that the Zubat had gone - he smiled abd began to jump around in excitement, cheering for them and singing, "~We're the best~ We're the best~ Spheal, Fairo and Furumi~ We're the best~" When his cheering was done he smiled - both Pokemon had each gained 1 level now (Houndour + Spheal) after defeating the Zubat. He held out a stubby, slippery small pad and smiled warmly, "Spheal wouldn't mind joining your team if that what Furumi and Fairo want."

Furumi grinned, slapping Fairo a slightly awkward high-five (or high four, in Fairo's case), as the Zubat were defeated by their teamwork. It was a shame they had flown away, really; he wouldn't have minded catching that female. Oh, well. He supposed that Zubat were, after all, common, and he was bound to find some some other time. Right now, of course, he was on a mission to find a Dragon type, esecially one of his favourites like Dratini or Bagon. Hey, there weren't that many Dragon types at all, were there? He wondered if-
His train of thought was severed abruptly by Spheal sudden and suprising request. He looked at Spheal, eyes shining. He felt... warm, and... fuzzy. What was this, again? Love? Being loved? It was weird. Furumi wasn't used to feeling cared for before, but he liked it, another great thing about this school. Pokémon always had been closer to him than people. He grinned at Spheal. "Of course! We'd be honoured to have you on our team! Come on, now, get in this here Pokéball." he smiled, holding one out for Spheal to get inside. While he did this, he wasn't paying attention to Fairo. The Houndour glanced at him, but had noticed that it was warmer deeper in the cave. The dog hesitantly trotted towards the warmth, out of sight.
