The snow blew quickly yet peacefully across the snowy mountainous region, the sun made the snow seem to sprakle as it reflected of it's white surface. The snow bounced gently off of Nat's gi and the ones that didn't melt into nothing within a few seconds. Snow dotted parts of Nat's hair from top to bottom and made it seem more shiny and silky than ever before. The thin layers Nat wore made him feel absolutely frozen as a thin layer of water from the melt snow covered his exposed skin and made his tan body glisten to some extent. The tips of his ears felt frozen stiff and his nose was turning even more red each passing second. Running shoes weren't the best idea either but they were all he had at the moment. He trudged through the snow with two pokeballs bouncing on his waist one containing his Gible the other his Shiny Girafarig. 4 other empty pokeballs covered the remainder of his waist bouncing about.
Why would he trudge through the snow if it was so unbearable? Simply for his love of dragon pokemon. Whether they were big or small he had to have them all, at least that's how he saw it. Nat moved to of the pokeballs to the inside of his Gi the ones containing Gible and Girafarig. Just to make sure they wouldn't freeze before he encountered a dragon for him to capture. Trees seem to fly past him as he ran through the snowy landscape until he could'nt anymore and took shelter beneath a massive tree. Whether or not it was snowing he would have to find a new dragon to call a friend.

Something rustled in the tree that Nat placed himself again. Snow gently fell from it but it didn't attract the boy's attention. The Pokemon hidden in the snowy branches leant over to get a clear view of the boy. Should he go down? Should this Pokemon go down? What if he wanted a dragon type Pokemon though? The trainers that came here always wanted a dragon type Pokemon, despite all of them being slightly rare in these areas. The Pokemon sighed, the trainer definately wouldn't want him. He sighed with disappointment and then went to turn himself around and walk home, but he forgot he was in a tree and unfortunately lost his balance. Falling form the tree above the boy he fel with a heap of snow. He landed in the boy's lap, covered in snow. He wriggled up and his nose twitched above the white layer of material. He then pushed his head up to reveal a Swinub.

"Woah!" Nat exclaimed as a large bulge of snow fell onto his lap and began to squirm about throwing snow to every side. Slowly but surely a pokemon was being revealed starting with a small pink nose, next small brown hairs were being revealed until a small swinub became clearly visible in his lap. "Why hello there, Are you hurt little guy?" Nat asked politely, "You fell from pretty high up there buddy. A dragon pokemon wouldn't be affected by that fall, but you are an ice type correct? that means you can beat em' and if they wouldn't be hurt you shouldn't be either!" Nat said in hopes of getting the small pokemon's trust. An ice type could help balance his team especially if it was part ground as well. Reaching onto his waist Nat pulled off a small red pokeball and held it not to far from the swine pokemon. "If you wouldn't mind i would like you to come with me. Of course if you don't want to i perfectly understand, So...what do you say?" Nat asked the small brown pokemon hoping for a new team member.

Swinub shook all the snow from his fur and then watched and listened carefully as the boy spoke. Once he was finished he stared. In awe. Gobsmacked. This boy wanted him! This human obviously loved dragons. Strong...Beat them....Blah. Blah. Blah. Sure he wanted to join this human but he wanted to show him how good ice and ground types could be too. He would join this kid but he wanted a battle first. He jumped back from the boy, and knowing he wouldn't understand him if he spoke, gave him a glance. The stare intending a challenge.

Nat looked at the tiny pokemon as it bounced off his lap and landed onto the ground not to far from him and smiled his signature smile. "Alright, if you insist." Nat said pulling a pokeball from his gi, Not really sure which he had chosen he threw the ball and watched as the flash of white light revealed his Gible. "Perfect." He thought to himself as he looked at his small dragon pokemon. Gible gave Nat a semi-serious look which was intended to mean "Really? Really?! In this weather!" Nat smiled at the pokemon and it just sigh at how oblivious his trainer was and stood in a fighting stance. Or at least a semi fighting with it's short arms and legs.
"Alright Ready Gible? Start off with a sand attack, follow up with tackle." THe small dragon turned its body and began to rapidly kick up frozen soil and snow towards the swinub before charging through the cloud with a tackle attack.

The small dragon threw snowy, frozen soil into Swinub's eyes and he shook his head from side to side to try and get the residue out of his eyes. Just as he managed to see again, small pieces of snow still remaining in the corners, Swinub was taken advantage of and a full bodied tackle attack hit him from the side. He was sent tumbling along the snowy ground and when he came to a stop, a cloud of white dust was sent into the air. As Swinub stood himself up again his nose twitched in the air. He opened his mouth wide and aimed it at the Gible, a cold blue figure started to from there. It was shown to be a spear, a spear made of ice. Swinub shot 3 icile spears toward Gible - this was one of his egg moves. It was an ice attack known as Icicle Spear but it wasn't a very good one. But it was sure to do a little more damage to his opponent, despite its very low attack strength.

"Watch Gible!" Nat exclaimed but to his stubby dragon companion hoping he would here and dodge in time. The small dragon barely made it out of the way in time and was skin by each spear in his escape. "Not the best evasion but you managed to dodge the marjority of the damage. Now quickly another Sand-Attack!" Nat commanded quickly thinking while he spoke. The small dragon whipped up another cloud of dust and dirt and as it finished Nat spoke again "This time go around use tackle from it's side." The dragon quickly ran around the cloud and charged towards the swinub hoping to hit again.

Once again a cloud of dusty, icy snow was pushed into Swinub's eyes. His sight blinded once more, Swinub jumped form side to side in an attempt to shake the snow away from him - as he was busy jumping around it gave his opponent just enough time to sneak somewhere else. When the snow had vanished from his eyes, Swinub pulled a cinfused expression as he couldn't see where the Gible had gone. But he soon found out when the tiny dragon Pokemon attacked him from the side with another Tackle attack. It seemed that these were the only two moves the Gible knew, but they were a good combination and Swinub tumbled and rolled across the snow and landed in a big pile of snow.
He poked his little pink snout out rmo teh snow and wiggled it as he sniffed the air above, his whole furry body then erupted from out of the large white mound and he shook himslef like a dog so that he was once clean again. This time he charged toward his opponent with a full bodied Tackle attack. Determined not to lose.

Gible saw the imcoming attack and as it was about to evade the attack as Nat yelled to it, "Don't move counter Tackle with Tackle!" The pokemon gave Nat a stare and under it's breath said "Gible...Gib." The pokemon seemed very unsatisfied with Nat's decision but regardless charged forward at full speed aiming for a direct clash between the tackles. Hoping his mini dragon's attack power would beat the attack of the small swinub and as they clashed he held his breath. The two pokemon hit each other head on throwing snow into the air and as they collided Nat's gible rolled backwards a little bit and without looking up at the other pokemon. His gible stood back up and awaited a movement from the swinub before doing anything there sight cut of by the small snow cloud the attacks had created.

Swinub was pushed backwards as the tiny dragon Pokemon shoved him in the opposite direction. He grunted as he tumbled backwards an into the midsts of the snowy clud. Seeing that he was able to be disguised in this white fluffy cloud, he seized teh opportunity to make a surprise attack. He opened his mouth and randomly shot 5 icicle spears out of the mysterious white dust cloud that covered him. Hoping that at least one of them would hit the Gible. It was a weak attack but it was sure to surprise the stubby dragon, and he had to get at leats one attack as he was losing strength, adn fast.

Watching the cloud Gible knew that attack was coming but even so couldn't dodge it completely as the icicles fired from the swinub hit Gible barely. Gible fell to the ground and felt a sharp pain spring through it's body as it slowly stood to it's feet and began to pant a little. "Man, Gible has taken more damage than expected. i need to wrap this up. Gible quickly Tackle!" Hoping to take advantage of the blinded pokemon it charged forward with another Tackle attack.

Swinub waited quietly in the snow plume. He listened carefully for any indication if his attack had hit the Gible - after all he couldn't see. He waited sielntly and patiently adn still. Nothing. Had the Pokemon fainted? Had it? Or was it waiting for the perfect opportunity to attack. That must be it, but wait! Swinub didn't know where the tiny dragon was coming from. It could be any direction! BAM! Swinub was tackle unexpectedly from the side. He tumbled along as the hard dragon hit his furry body. When he finally cam to a stop his nose twitched...he attempted to push himself up and launch another attack - but it was just too much and he couldn't do it. He lay still in the snow. Faint. *Swinub fainted, Gible wins! Gible has gained 3 levels! Gible has learnt Dragon Rage. Swinub is avaliable for capture!*

Nat watched the cloud for any indication of another struggle. If Gible was attacked in the cloud it was over, if it had missed it was over. Nat felt a slight sense of panic wildly dance through his entire being all at once and screamed through his mind "What have i done!!" When the white cloud slowly settled on the ground and through the cloud stood Gible victorious over the swinub and with a smile Nat ran to his pokemon. He hugged Gible and spun around with it's tiny legs being whipped around in the air. "GIble you're the best!!" he exclaimed as he spun it around several times. The tiny pokemon looked exhausted and without a second thought Nat returned the pokemon into its ball and looked onto the swinub. "You did great, you showed me how tough you are and i appreciate that, Thank-you." He said as he tapped a pokeball onto the noise of the swinub and awaited it's capture.

Nat picked up the pokeball and was really excited about his first pokemon capture in this new region and it was a pokemon that could prove to be an awesome fighter in the future. Nat stared at the ball long and hard knowing that even if he wanted it a dragon pokemon was unlikely in this area but being who he is he could never back down. Nat decided to press on with his new pokemon in his team and Search for a dragon or ice pokemon to call his own. Gible was tired and the pokemon he had left were Swinub (Defeated), his Girafarig and Dratini. In his next battle Dratini would be the pokemon he uses no matter the foe for no reason but to see what it can do.
